State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said no accusations will be made at the present time about the recent armed attacks in Rakhine State because the government has not yet ascertained the cause, state media reported on 13 October.

While responding to questions made by reporters at a joint press conference with the Dutch Foreign Minister Mr Bert Koenders in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi also sent a message to all countries across the world that the country is doing its best to deal with the cause and resolution of the violent attacks in western Myanmar by all legal means, the report said.
