Loikaw Airport will be closed for 3 Days

Soe Hitke Aung — U Kyaw Moe Naing, the Airport Manager (Loikaw) of the Ministry of Airline Transport, says that they will close the airline of Loikaw-Yangon for three days due to the area expend of Loikaw Airport.

“There is a connection between the former runway and new runway of airplane. The new runway has 1800 feet of length and 100 feet of width. The old one has 5,200 feet of length and 75 feet of width. The plan is to adjust the bulge, which distort the surface of flight landing, of these two runways contact line for smooth and safe landing.” says U Kyaw Moe Naing.

It says the engineers from responsible department will supervise and conduct the project of connecting the current runway and the new expand runway on February 21-23, three days long, and there will not any airline within these three days.
