They all hail from ward no (7) in Taknef, a small town located in south Bangladesh which is adjacent to Myanmar’s Maungdaw township, informed a police officer from Alay Than Kyaw border police post.

“We got information that one suspected fishing boat docked at the offshore near Nakaung Tho border police outpost. When we went  to the area, we found four Bangladeshi citizens inside the boat,” disclosed the police officer.

During the police interrogation, the Bangladeshi nationals admitted that the fishing boat was floating on Burma water after the boat engine went out of order.   They were charged by the immigration department with respective  laws including one of entering Myanmar illegally.
