Military council restricts food transportation in some villages in Tanintharyi

The regime has restricted the transportation of food for the residents in Ta Ku and Thar Ya Bwin village tracts in Tanintahryi Region, said the locals.

The military council inspects the ration carrying for those village tracts at ZaWel village intersection point and only allows limited supply.

They inspect mainly rice and allow a limited amount of rice and basic foodstuffs, said a local.

As a result of the scarcity of commodities in these areas, commodity prices are high.

The regime is carrying out those activities in order to cut PDF rations in the village tracts of Ta Ku and Thar Ya Bwin, and hence people are still facing high commodity costs.

In the village tracts of Ta Ku and Thar Ya Bwin, there are frequent skirmishes between military soldiers and local PDFs, and the military is constantly expanding its forces.
