Powerful weapons hit village’s evacuation center at monastery which left six villagers and nine others wounded as the entire villagers displaced due to heavy fighting in Sabar Htar Village of Minbra Township, the township administrator confirmed on June 3.
“Four people died on the spot and two other died in hospital at night. Nine injured people are now in the hospital and some critical conditions are about to take to Sittwe Hospital “the township administrator added.
Those victims who killed in the monastery are U Maung Phyu Tun, U Maung Maung Than, Maung Aye Nu, Daw Hla Pyae Sein and U Hla Maung along with Ma Pe Si @ Ma San San Win (13) years old died in Minbra Hospital yesterday said by U Myo Zaw Aung, the village’s administrator.
The village’s administrator added that the heavy fighting between Arakan Army and Myanmar Army broke out 6:45 am near Sabarhtar village and about 700 fear villagers from 170 households fled the village to shelter in Minbra downtown.
