He told this during a meeting with officials from the Media Council and reporters at the guest hall on January 10.

“What has been written about me [on Facebook] yesterday is completely wrong. Since it is wrong, it causes confusion among the public. This isn’t good,” he said.

He urged the media to lend a hand encouraging beneficial use of Facebook.

“I consider all of us are responsible for the information and contents that comes up on Facebook. There are both good and bad [contents]. We must try to push for positive contents. I believe it will be beneficial if we all work for optimism together. I really want using it (Facebook) in an effective way with high standard and good quality [contents],” said the Rakhine State Chief Minister.

During the meeting, he answered the questions raised by the reporters concerning the issues on accepting the refugees returned from Bangladesh, the development of Maungdaw area, border security, and resettlement of Rakhine and Rakhine sub-tribes.
