Maung Myo Myat Phyo (3), the son of Daw Thwe Thwe Soe and U Agyi Maung of Teinyo Ywa Thit Village, Mrauk-U Township, was the deceased.
Maung Kaung Myat Oo (4), Maung Phyo Nyein Naing (10), Maung Kaung Myat Htun (11), and Maung Myo Win Oo (12) from the Waithali village in Mrauk-U Township are the four wounded children.
"The youngster discovered this grenade in an unoccupied residence," a man from Mrauk-U told the local press.
“He grabbed the grenade and tossed it. It blew up when he threw it, hurting him and four other kids who were playing close by. The youngster who threw the grenade passed away upon arriving at the hospital, while the other four wounded children are being cared for.”
