KNDF calls on NUG government to launch front lines nationwide

The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) has called on the National Unity Government to launch front lines across the country as the junta continues to attack Karenni State.

The military troops have been expanding its offensive across Kaenni State since the second week of April with regular airstrikes.

As the regime continued to fire heavy artillery on the ground, fighting with the local PDF became more intense.

A spokesman for KNDF called on the National Unity Government to open up front lines for the whole country to reduce the oppression of the military council in Karenni State alone.

“It would be great if we could establish front lines in neighboring states and elsewhere so that we would not be oppressed in Karenni State alone.

If we launch our front lines, we will not be the only State or Region oppressed," he added.

Currently, the military council has clashed with local PDFs in Loikaw and Demos in Karenni State. In less than a week, ten members of the local PDF were killed.

Clashes between the dictatorship and local PDFs in Karenni State has pushed over 200,000 people to leave to safer places and refugee camps since the military coup.
