Teknaf, Bangladesh: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a Burmese national and handed over to Border Guard Police of Burma (BGP) on September 3, according BGB officials.
The arrestee was identified as Mohammed Shohel (26), son of Jafor Ahamed, hailed from Kohansibong of Maungdaw township.

Lt. Col. Abu Zar Al Jahid from Teknaf Battalion 2 confirmed that he was arrested from the Bangladesh side of Whykong locality because of illegal entry. Members of BGB didn’t get anything from him after searching his body.

However, members of BGB discussed with BGP and handed over him at around 5:00 pm the same day, Lt. Col more added.

According to local villagers, the Burmese national came to Bangladesh from Burma to visit in the refugee camp where his relatives live in the Nayapara camp.
