Corrections Department issued a press statement yesterday which says departmental inquiry team has been constituted for the custodial death of under trial prisoner Tun Myint Win in Oboe prison, Mandalay.

Tun Myint Win aka Ko Tun who comes from Aung Thabyay village, Dahattaw village-tracts, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region was arrested for staging a protest against a cement factory with coal-fired power plant. He died in judicial custody in Oboe prison, Mandalay on June 5 in the morning.

The funeral service of Tun Myint Win was performed on Thursday evening in his village cemetery.
