The government has introduced a national youth policy to serve as a guideline for the welfare and development of young people, Xinhua reported, quoting the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

The policy came as the country marked International Youth Day in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye said the policy is intended to help the new generation in overcoming various challenges by combining creative ideas with the views and experiences of older persons.
