Four family members killed in Launglon Township

The military personnel and Pyu Sawe Htee militia killed four family members in Kyauksin village, Launglon Township, Tanintharyi Region on October 20, the locals told Than Lwin Times.

The regime members and Pyu Saw Htee group arrived in the village in two vehicles and killed four members of U Maung Soe Tin's family at their home at 11 pm on that day.

The dead were U Maung Soe Tin and his wife, Daw Ma Nwet; their son, Ko Zeya Tun; and one adopted son.

The junta forces shot and killed four family members after stabbing them, the sources said.

The bodies of the deceased, including U Maung Soe Tin, were taken to Launglon Township Hospital by the social rescue team.

The deceased's family is middle-class and works in the fishing industry; their son, Ko Zaya Tun, who works in Thailand, has only been home for more than a month.

After the military coup, military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee groups raided the homes of locals and killed at least 20 people in Launglon Township.
