A female student in Nursing University and three youths arrested in Kinma village

A resident of Kinma village told Mizzima that Thinzar Tun, a student at a Nursing University, and three youths were arrested by the military in Kinma village in Pauk Township, where the military almost burned the entire village down.

While these youths were carrying medicine to the village on August 2, they were arrested near the Pauk-Seik Phyu junction.

Thinzar Tun is 18 years old. Those arrested with her are Phyo Myint Aung, Pho Phyu and Si Thu Lwin.

After Kinma village was set on fire on June 16, she was setting up a clinic in the area and providing medical care to villagers and people from a neighbouring village.

Villagers said that they want Thinzar Tun and the three young men to be released as soon as possible.

Until now, the villagers have not been able to return to Kinma village due to hostilities by the military. They are still hiding near the forest, mountain and fields.
