Ayeyarwady Region deputy chairman appears before court

Former Ayeyarwady Region legislative assembly deputy chairman San Min Aung who is charged with section 409 of Penal Code (breach of trust) appeared for the first time at Pathein township court on August 22.

Ayeyarwady Region assembly deputy director Zaw Min Tun filed a case against deputy chairman San Min Aung with section 409 of Penal Code for his alleged role in misuse of power for buying five vehicles to be used by the region assembly.

The accused applied for bail and the court fixed the next hearing on August 28 and on that date his application for bail will be decided.
