In the morning of April 11th, the Military Council launched an air raid at the opening ceremony of the People's Administration Office in Pazigyi Village, Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region.

A person who personally experienced the incident but managed to escape said that a Military Council aircraft dropped bombs at around 8:00 AM when there were about 100 attendees at the new office opening event.

“Bombs were dropped into the crowd gathered at the opening ceremony of the office, causing many casualties. The current estimated death toll is between 50 to 60, with a lot of people also wounded. This tragic incident has claimed many lives”, he claimed.

During the opening ceremony, a Military Council fighter jet suddenly appeared and dropped two bombs, causing chaos and destruction. Witnesses who managed to escape reported that a military helicopter, identified as an MI-35, also arrived and began firing indiscriminately.

Chin National Organization - Upper Chindwin Region (CNO-UCR) also announced that 11 people were killed in a separate incident when the Military Council air bombed Waibula Myoma School in Falam Township following the occupation of Ver camp, an army outpost of the Military Council in Chin State on April 10th.
