NUG extends condolence to families of earthquake victims in Turkey, Syria

The National Unity Government of Myanmar extended its condolence to the families of victims of devasting earthquake  in Turkey and Syria, and made a wish for their immediate recovery from injuries.

The magnitude 7.8 earthquake was centered at the dept of 24.1 kilometer and 23 kilometer east of Nurdagi city  near Gaziantep in south-central Turkey on 6 February morning.

The devastating earthquake in southern Turkey and northern Syria has left tens of thousand death toll, and some thousands of houses collapsed.

The  message of NUG expressed its heartfelt condolence to the families of earthquake victims, appreciation to civil society organizations for their rescue works, the governments of Turkey and Syria for their emergency relief , and international organizations for their immediate humanitarian assistance.

Turkey embassy in Yangon also invited relief assistance from Turkish and Myanmar people, as well as other well-wishers through its mission at No.19 (AB) Kanyeikthar Road, Mayangone Township, in Yangon.
