In Ye township, Mon State, the Ye Blue Group attacked the office of the General Administration Department at around 6:00 am on January 6th.

The attack involved the use of 4 guns using 40mm bullets which were fired at the Administration Office, which is located in the center of Ye township.

Ye Blue Group released a statement claiming the attack was their doing.

“ From January 6th, Ye Blue Group shot at the Administration office in the center of Ye township using 4 40mm guns. At around 6:15 in the morning, we opened fire. We don’t know the exact level of damage that was inflicted”, said a Ye Blue Group leader.

No casualties have been reported at this time.

The military council has tightened its security throughout the township and is conducting inspections, report residents.

The Ye Blue Group is one of a number of revolutionary organizations that has organized raids and attacks on military council camps, police stations, and checkpoints staffed by the Military Council in Ye township.
