Myanmar's Foreign Affairs Ministry announced a temporary suspension of entry of foreign nationals through border checkpoints from Thursday to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Xinhua reported.

The suspension will be effective only to foreigners who will enter the country through any border checkpoint between Myanmar and its neighbouring countries.

The foreign nationals with valid entry visa will be allowed to enter and exit the country only at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports.
