The numbers of missing people without a trace have been 15 in Paletwa. The Chin State Government and Union are the full responsible for such missing without traces said that Pu Te Rah from CHRO.
Pu Te Rah from CHRO Said “to date, there were 15 persons (the missing people), in 2018 there were 2 and in 2019 there were 13. The two active military organizations in the area, Tamadaw and AA also have responsibility. If they (The mission people) were abducted, the reasons of abduction should be identified. The numbers have been increasing at the moment. If both organizations did it, they should inform to related offices or people. Missing without a trace is worrisome with regard to security affair.”
The villagers said that 4 persons from Baung Village Paletwa disappeared on the 16th July and any hint was heard yet.
The 4 missing people from Baung are U Kyaw Kyaw Than (25 ), U Kyaw Seing (31), U Kyaw Linn (23) and U Soe Ye Aung (32), of four, U Soe Ye working in gravel producing section in Kaladan Bridge construction and U Kyaw Kyaw who went buying paint for village hall disappeared on the returning with bike carriers.
The villager, Shamuel said “the day after missing, the local people looked for them about 3 am but we did not find so far. Their families were extremely worried because any trace was not left.”
A person the one who involved in looking for missing persons said that the two bikes carried by the missing persons from Baung Village were found in the morning and AA was positioned nearby the lost-found bikes.
There are often armed conflict between AA and Tatmadaw in some places of Paletwa and local people have been due to the noisy of machine gun frightening.
