Three Myanmar government soldiers were killed and at least seven civilians and three other troops were injured Wednesday morning during a Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) ambush on a military convoy in war-torn northern Shan state, RFA reported.

Area residents said TNLA soldiers ambushed the convoy near the bazaar at the entrance of Hsenwi town, killing about three soldiers and wounding three others.

Myanmar military spokesman Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun confirmed the attack and casualties among soldiers, but did not provide a figure.
