75,828 voters will vote in 137 polling stations in Ann Township

A total of 75,828 voters will be able to vote in 137 polling stations in Ann Township for a vacant seat in the Pyithu Hluttaw, the Arakan State Election Officer U Thurein Htut said to Narinjara News.

“According to our list, there are 75,828 voters. The list is based on the data collected from 17 to 30 March. There are 137 polling stations in total,” he explained.

Election campaigns have been allowed until midnight on 30 March and they must all end after midnight, according to him.

All ballots have been transported to Ann and polling station staffs have already been sent to the polling stations with necessary equipment.

Dr Aye Maung from the Arakan National Party, U Zaw Win Myint from the National League for Democracy, U Thaung Nyein from the Union Solidarity and Development Party, and independent candidate U Zaw Linn Khaing will be running in Ann Township in the by-election.
