The Burma Army arrested and questioned a schoolteacher, U Shwe Lone, in Myit-Nar Village, Awa-Yoar Village-Tract in Minbya Township, Arakan State in the last few days.

The administrator of Aw-Yoar Village said: “He was arrested and bought in for questioning.”

He added: “We know that he was arrested by the [Burma] Army to be questioned about his connections with the Arakan Army (AA).”

According to the news the Burma Army has been questioning many people in Mrauk-U, Minbya and Ponnagyun Townships where the Arakan Army has been active.
