Three people, including a child, were killed and ten other people were injured in a junta airstrike on a village close to Mindat Town in Mindat Township, Chin State, on 15 May 2025.

According to residents of the village at around 9:40 am on 15 May, in an unprovoked attack, a junta aircraft bombed the village, which is not being named for security reasons.

The airstrike killed a 6-year-old Chin boy and his mother, along with a Bamar man who had moved to the area.

A resident of the village said to Chin World: “Three people died, two Chin and one Bamar. The Bamar man had settled in the village after marrying a local woman. Ten others were injured, and six houses were burned down in the bombing.”

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance, which included members of the local Mindat Chinland defence Force (CDF) already controlled all of the rest of Mindat Township before they finally took control of Mindat Town on 21 December 2024 and declared all of Mindat Township a junta-free zone.
