SNLD opens new branch office in Kengtaung sub-township

Shan State's most successful political party following the 2015 election is expanding. The Shan Nationalities League for  Democracy (SNLD) launched its newest branch in Kengtaung, a sub-township of Moe-ne/Mong Nai on November 28. The opening ceremony was attended by nearly 400 people.

“The branch was opened to solve the local residents' difficulties quickly. I urge all residents to work with their local SNLD office,” Sai Myo Myint, the SNLD MP representing Mong Nai constituency in the Shan State Hluttaw, told the Shan Herald Agency for News.

Sai Aung Than will chair the Kengtaung SNLD branch while Sai Moon Main and Sai Zin will serve as vice chair and secretary respectively. The branch has ten committee members.
