RCSS Leaders Meet In Loi Tai Leng

Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) announced after its biannual meeting at the Loi Tai Leng headquarters to hold more dialogue to restore peace and build a federal democratic union but didn't provide specifics about how to achieve this.

Many people criticised RCSS leader Gen Yward Serk for his meeting with Snr-Gen Min Aung Hlaing, head of the regime-appointed State Administration Council in Naypyitaw in May.

According to Lt-Gen Ohm Khur, the RCSS spokesperson, the two leaders talked about regional development, peace and confidence building, but not about the current political crisis.

During RCSS's biannual, the department heads evaluated the last six months, political and military issues were discussed and a work plan was drawn up.

The four-day meeting was attended by 237 representatives from advisory board, central executive committee, central leading committee and central committee.

NMG was unable to reach anyone at the time of going to press.
