No order against erection of memorial stone has been received - Rihkawdah adviser says

Although Falam District Court has issued an order blocking the erection of a memorial stone to mark the diamond jubilee of the founding of Rihkawdah town in Falam Township, Chin State, the town still has not received the order.

The order was decided by the Chin State government office and issued by the Falam District Court.

Pu Puitea, an adviser of Rihkawdah, said there are delays in submitting the issue to the central government as the order has not been received.

“We have all the orders for submission [to the central government]. Only this order is left. When we asked the district office, we were told that it has been sent to the township administrator. The township administrator said he doesn’t have it,” said Pu Puitea.

This order has been read in front of the public so the contents of the order will be submitted to the central government even though the order is not in their hands.

“Copies will be sent to the President’s Office, Vice President, and the Ministry of Home Affairs’ office. There are people who are ready to help us in Naypyidaw,” he added.
