Suu Myat May Zaw — The Bangkok based Myanmar embassy issued a press release on March 16 which urges Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand not to go back home until April 30, not go to other countries and avoid travel during this period.

The Thai ministry of industry also issued a press statement which says the migrant workers will be quarantined for 14 days after their re-entry and they would be examined for virus symptoms during this period.

The Thai government reportedly will not waive re-entry visa fee of Thai Baht 1,000 this year to migrant workers during Thingyan water festival holiday as in previous years if they came back within less than one month.
