More than 100 firefights broke out between the KNLA joint forces and the combined force of the junta army and BGF (Border Guard Force) in KNU Brigade 5 in November alone, the Brigade 5 reported.

There were 116 clashes between KNLA Brigade 5 and the combined forces of regime forces and BGF that were committing human rights violations in KNU’s Hpapun District from the first to the 30th of November.

The battle claimed the lives of 69 junta soldiers and injured 51 others. A sergeant was among the dead, and one captain was injured, the Brigade 5 reported.

The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) lost nine comrades, with 26 others suffering injuries.

The military regime carried out aerial strikes at four locations, destroying homes, schools, and temples.

Nearly 100,000 residents fled the junta army’s operations and human rights violations, and they are in dire need of humanitarian assistance, the relief workers said.
