Mon State MPs will resume Hluttaw meetings on December 4, according to the Speaker, who is soliciting agendas and questions for the upcoming session.
It’s unclear how long the eighth session of the second Mon State Hluttaw will last.
“I can’t say exactly how many days the Hluttaw will be held. We will set the date after looking at the MPs’ questions and proposals,” Speaker Daw Tin Ei said.
Daw Khine Lei, chair of the state’s Bill Committee, said the committee plans to submit a fishery industry law.
“We will hold another event to listen to the public’s input. When [the bill] is completed, we will distribute it to the MPs and then submit it if they don’t have any problems,” she said.
The seventh session of the second Mon State Hluttaw in September enacted two pieces of legislation: the state municipal law and the state small and medium enterprise electricity production and distribution law.
