Clash between Indian army and NSCN-K in Myanmar denied

The Myanmar military has denied there was a recent exchange of gunfire on Myanmar soil between the Indian army and an ethnic armed group, state media reported on 22 August.
Some 30 Indian soldiers were reported to have exchanged fire with the Sagaing based National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang) (NSCN-K) inside Myanmar territory on 19 August, local internet sources and some of India’s media quoted the NSCN-K as saying.
Reports said the fighting lasted three hours, with Indian troops suffering heavy losses. According to the report, 12 Indian paratroopers had entered the country first and were then followed by ground troops.
