Junta’s troops raided Aung San Suu Kyi's house without a warrant

While Major Win Htut Oo, who was involved in the search of the house as a leader, was questioned by lawyers for the case of Section 8 of the Import and Export Law against Aung San Suu Kyi at the special court in Zabu Thiri township it was found that they did not have a warrant for searching, according to Khin Maung Zaw, a member of Suu Kyi's legal team.

Three witnesses, including Major Win Htut Oo, were asked questions for the case of Section 8 of the Import and Export Act. After that, these witnesses were questioned for the case of Section 67 of the Telecommunications Law against Aung San Suu Kyi.

Four attorneys were allowed to talk with State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and President Win Myint for about half an hour.

During the meeting, Aung San Suu Kyi expressed her concern over people for the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, president Win Myint was worried and prayed for the people to be free from the disease and to be healthy, according to their attorneys.

Two prosecution witnesses were called for the case of section 25 of the Disaster Management Law, which indicted Aung San Suu Kyi and Win Myint separately, but only one witness appeared at the hearing and the other did not. An absent witness reported to the court that he did not show up because he was infected with Covid-19.

The cases are scheduled to be heard on Mondays and Tuesdays, but it has been rescheduled for Tuesday (July 20) rather than Monday (July 19) which coincides with Martyrs' Day.
