Clashes are breaking out between the People's Defense Forces (PDF) and the Military in four villages, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region.

On the morning of July 18, three military vehicles arrived in the villages after a USDP member had reported that there were troops of People's Defense Forces (PDF) in the village.

They firstly entered Tat Tu village in Palai Village Tract.

The fighting started when troops of the People's Defense Forces (PDF) fought with handmade guns.

Military in Tat Tu village did not come here because they knew we have a lot of troops.

Four villages: That Tu, Palai, Gon Nan and Kan Tha were hit by heavy artillery after Military vehicles and reinforcement had arrived again at about three o'clock this evening (July 18).

It is not easy to fight back because numbers are unbalanced,” said a villager.
