Almost 541.5 million U.S. dollars earned during gem emporium

About 541.5 million U.S. dollars were earned from the sale of 5,601 jade, gems and pearl lots at Myanmar's 56th gems emporium which concluded on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

A total of 7,747 lots including 274 pearl lots, 500 gems lots and 6,973 jade lots were put on sale under the open tender system at the annual emporium.

The emporium attracted 4,561 local and foreign merchants including 2,880 traders from China.
