Administrator shot dead in Yangon

The Soul Takers Yangon Underground Force shot and killed the 4/North Ward administrator, who they claimed was a military informant, in Yangon City’s Thaketa Township at 7:20 pm on 20 September.

The administrator, U Win Bo was shot and killed in a local tea shop on the corner of Aung Zeya Street and Aung Yadana Street in Thaketa Township’s 4/North Ward, according to the Soul Takers.

They said that U Win Bo was a former fire service station captain who had become a ward administrator after the coup. He was investigating urban guerrilla groups and revolutionary forces and reporting his findings back to the Military Council. He was also locating revolutionary soldiers and interrogating them.The Soul Takers said that they shot U Win Bo nine times and that he died on the spot. They also seized a baton, a walkie-talkie and a military phone from him before retreating without suffering any casualties.

The Soul Takers also said that they will continue to attack 100-household administrators, 10-household administrators and military informants who work for the military council.
