About 400 troops raid villages in the eastern part of Depayin township

More than 10 villages in the eastern part of Depayin Township, Sagaing region were raided by military council troops in the morning, today on June 17.

A local resident, who did not want to be named, said that 16 armoured vehicles raided Yin kay Village, Yin Kyay Taw Kyaung Monastery, Myo Gyi village, Tay Taw village, Tha Pyay Kone village, Oake Se village, In Pin Lay village, Mying Tan village at around 5 am.

According to the statement by the Depayin PDF, it is said that a member of the PDF force was hit in the abdomen and two members of the military council were killed and five were wounded.
