Moulmein University students to emulate monks if fuel prices not rolled back

Former Moulmein University students' organization in Moulmein pasted posters in the university campus and hostels demanding that the Burmese military junta reduce the price of oil and essential commodities.

If the junta does not solve the problems, they will follow the example set by the the Sangha Thamaggi organization, the posters that posted on September 13 night.
 
They also distributed their posters in the private hostels and Moulmein city on September 13 at night.
 
"Their poster said, they supported the action of the monks regarding the price roll back and they would follow the monks if the junta did not concede their demand," a student told IMNA.
 
No action has been initiated by the Southeast Military Command against the organization.  Everything is normal, the student said.
 
Though the posters were distributed in the hostels the students have not become active because they are studying for their examination to be held on September 19.
 
The government has arranged to hold the examination earlier in this year because of apprehension of further demonstrations by the students. .
 
Moulmein University students said last year's test was at the end of this month, but this year it is in the coming week.
 
Although some university students are not ready for the examination and they are attending private tuition.
