Long Line Ups At Polling Stations

Nondar — Over three-hundred have been lined up waiting to vote at Panga Village Tract Polling Station (2) in Mon State’s Thanbyuzayat Township. There are long delays because there are only 4 private voting booths.

What’s different from the 2010 election is that this time around many people have come out to cast their votes, and they have been waiting since the break of dawn. It takes time to vote, so it’s a long wait.

Some voters don’t even know what polling station they need to go based on their location, and have been waiting at the wrong polling stations.

Still, most are excited to come out and take part in this historic day.
