Military Council troops set fire to Mone Hla village in Sagaing’s Khin-U township

Myanmar junta troops are continuing to lay siege to villages in the Sagaing Region.

At around 10:00 am on 24 November, Military Council troops launching an offensive in Khin-U Township, Sagaing region, allegedly setting fire to Mone Hla village.

"There are 600 households in Mone Hla village. The junta with 100 troops burnt down the village. All of the villagers have fled to a safe area. They (Military Council troops) started burning the village at 10 am. Not only our villagers but also nearby villagers are fleeing.”

An estimated 10,000 locals have fled because troops have launched an offensive in Khin-U township, including Kyauk Tai, Kyisu, Mone Hla, Thawahti, and Thayet
