The clash between the KIA and the Military Council has been going on for three days in the territory of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Brigade 3 in Mansi Township.

Since May 11, fighting has been raging in the territory of KIA Battalion 15, Kadot, in Mansi Township and near Manda Mountain.

The Military Council was fired twice by planes until 7:30 pm on May 13, a local resident told Kachin News Group (KNG).

"Fighting is raging along Kadot and Manda. I heard that the KIA had seized an outpost. I have not confirmed yet. They fired back at around 7 this morning. I can still hear the sound of artillery until 8 o'clock. Last night, the soldiers attacked twice by plane. I did not hear the sound of the plane this morning, ”he said.

The intense fighting is taking place today (May 14) at around 8 am near Madan Yang Village while attacking the airstrikes by the Military Council, according to locals.

Although some local residents said that KIA can seize an outpost of the Military Junta which is located in Kadot and Manda, this regard could not be confirmed yet according to Colonel Naw Bu, an Information Officer of KIO headquarter.

"We have not received any information about the seizure of the camp. But I am sure that there is fighting. Today is the 4th day. We are indeed attacking, ”he said.

Additionally, the clash took place intensely for three days in KIA Battalion 27, Madan Yang, in Mansi Township, with the Military firing on fighter jets, said Colonel Naw Bu.

While thousands of Military Junta troops have expanded to Dot Phone Yang, Myothit, and Kong Law in the base of Alaw Bum Mountain to retaliate against Alaw Bum near KIO headquarters, the fighting has resumed in the KIA Brigade 3 district, in the Mansi Township since May 11.
