RCSS/SSA-S switches location of liaison offices’ heads

The Restoration Council of Shan State/Shan State Army – South (RCSS/SSA) have interchanged the heads of the liaison offices to respective areas.

Major Sai Li, who has been transferred from Tachileik to Mong Ton, said the heads of liaison offices from Mong Pan, Mong Ton, and Tachileik in the eastern Shan State and Muse in the northern Shan State have been switched since early January.

“Yes, it’s true. The existing heads have been transferred to different townships. I have been sent to Mong Ton after they switched the locations of the office heads from Tachileik and Mong Ton. The higher authorities arranged the transfers,” he told the Shan Herald.

Major Aung Kyan Mein from Mong Pan Liaison Office has been transferred to Muse while Sai Zin from Muse has been transferred to Mong Pan, he added.

The heads of liaison offices from other townships have not been transferred.

After signing the union-level ceasefire, the RCSS/SSA-S opened liaison offices in Tachileik, Mong Ton, Mong Hsat, and Mong Taw townships in the eastern Shan State, Mong Pan, Kholam, and Taunggyi townships in the southern Shan State, and Muse and Kyaukme townships in the northern Shan State.
