Fact-checking
Reverse image searches revealed that the photos were old, dating back to 2019, prior to the coup.
The Facebook page used old documentary photos from November 22, 2019, showing the Myanmar military uncovering three weapons caches hidden by the TNLA near Homein Village in Namhsan Township, northern Shan State, to fabricate a false narrative.
On November 23, 2019, the Myanmar military announced the seizure of a large cache of TNLA weapons.
Shan Herald, a local media agency, along with other independent news organizations, has already reported on the matter.
