The Myanmar junta Air Force bombed Mrauk-U, an ancient city in Rakhine (Arakan) State, killing a woman and another child, increasing the overall death count to fourteen.

The two most recent deaths are those of Daw Aye Sandar, age 30, and Maung Aung Aung, age 5.

On the same day of the bombing, the late Daw Aye Sandar's husband and seven-year-old daughter passed away, and her other little children also perished. The daughter is also hurt and is getting medical care.

At about 11:30 p.m. on August 25, the terrorist air force bombed the Daing Kyi quarter of Mrauk-U with two 500-pound bombs.

Twelve innocent people, including five youngsters and their relatives who were getting ready for a Buddhist religious event, lost their lives in the bombing events, and 20 other people suffered injuries.

The victims of the earlier bombing were Maung Myo San Win (17), Maung Aung Aung Htay (16), Maung Aye Maung Chey (18), Ma Phyo Phyo Aye (18), Maung Wai Yan Soe (18), U U Po Kyaing (66), Ma Khin Su Wai (22), Ma Khin Su Hlaing (15), Maung Kyaw Myat Lin (7), Maung Than Htay (20), U Ni Ni Tun (a) Aung Thani (43), and Ma Nan Kyaw Hlaing (7).

The other deceased is Daw Aye Sandar, the wife of U Ni Ni Tun (a) Aung Thani, 7-year-old Ma Nan Kyaw Hlaing's father. One of their younger daughters, 12-year-old Ma Aye Win Kyi, was also critically wounded and taken to the hospital.

The deceased, Ma Khin Su Wai (22), Ma Khin Su Hlaing (15), and Maung Kyaw Myat Lin (7), were also siblings from the same family.

The terrorist air force carried out the air strike by bombing at around 11:25 p.m. on August 25, 2025. Two bombs were dropped on the Daing Kyi community in Mrauk U Township.

The airstrikes have claimed the lives of fourteen innocent people, including five children from the local community and their families, who were preparing for a religious festival and twenty individuals were hurt and eight homes were destroyed, according to an AA statement released on August 26.

The statement claimed that the fascist terrorist organization intentionally attacked innocent civilians, taking advantage of the fact that people were asleep at night to inflict such high casualties.

We vehemently denounce the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the military council, which is carrying out mass murders of innocent civilians and war crimes across the nation every single day, and we will report these actions to the appropriate international bodies, and we will continue to do what we can, the AA said in its statement.
