The Three Brotherhood Alliance announced the successful capture of the fortified Taungshay Hill Tactical Operation Command Base near Tinma village in Rakhine State, located east of the Kaladan River, north of Kyauktaw Township.

On January 6th the Three Brotherhood Alliance declared that every soldier at the Taungshay Hill Tactical Operation Command Base, also known as Tinma Base, had surrendered to AA, a member of the Alliance.

On Christmas Day 2023, AA initiated an offensive against Tinma Base. Despite the Military Council's No. 9 Operation Command Headquarters in Kyauktaw Township deploying fighter jets and helicopters to defend the base, it ultimately surrendered to AA after about 10 days.

AA has conveyed its continuous endeavors to secure the bases of the Military Council, as it aims to further consolidate the positive outcomes attained in ‘Operation 1027’.

In the two months following the resurgence of fighting due to the Arakan Army's (AA) renewed offensive on November 13th, approximately 150 bases and outposts of varying sizes belonging to the Military Council, have been captured by AA in Rakhine State and Platewa Township in Chin State.
