Yangon’s North Dagon Township Police Training School attacked

The Myoma Police training school on the corner of Bo Son Pat Road and Mann Bakhine Road, in (36) Ward, North Dagon Township, Yangon Region was attacked during a pre-graduation ceremony for police trainees at around 7 p.m. on 7 March.

Locals confirmed that they heard a series of bomb blasts and gunshots near the police training school.

“I heard the sound of bomb blasts. It was very loud. I heard it three or four times. But there are not many houses there. But, there are government offices, temples and football stadiums”, a local said.

The attack was reportedly conducted jointly by the People’s Force and the Spring Brother Force.

“We did not get our expected target because there were a series of civilian convoys while our two allied forces were on a mission. We would like to request that the public stays away if they hear something strange as civilians are our first priority. Casualties will be reported soon”, said an officer from the Spring Brother Force.

According to a statement from the People's Force, there were many Military Council casualties from the attack on the police training school.
