The Myanmar Police Force said that it had seized 1,140,000 WY ecstasy tablets worth 228,000,000 million kyats, hidden in Ma Ma instant noodle cartoons in a room in the municipal market, Myoma West Ward, Maungdaw township.

A joint enforcement team opened locked shop No. 1A-7 of tenant Marmed Sedane (under investigation) on December 17. The team found 1,140,000 WY ecstasy tablets worth 228,000,000 million kyats (at the rate of 2,000 kyats per tablet) hidden in Mar Mar instant noodle cartoons kept in 3 bags.

Myanmar Police Force issued a news release which says this seizure could have been made in connection with statements given by accused Myo Thant and Arzi Zulaung who were arrested with 1.9 million ecstasy tablets hidden in Ma Ma instant noodle cartoons carried by a Nissan UD car with license plate number YGN/2J---- at 6th Milepost on Maungdaw-Buthidaung highway in Maungdaw Township.
