TNLA, PDF Attack SAC Vehicle Convoy in Northern Shan State

On Monday, Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Mandalay People's Defense Force (PDF) engaged in an intense battle with State Administration Council (SAC) in Kyaukme Township.

An individual familiar with the conflict mentioned that the attack, which occurred between Kyauk Kyan and Shwe Nyaung Pin, aimed to halt the convoy's passage through Gok Twin, disrupting its journey in northern Shan State. Resistance fighters strategically dug a large trench across a section of the Union highway near Gok Twin, situated between Mandalay and Lashio, to execute the ambush.

“Burma army launched airstrikes around 12 noon. We heard a massive explosion, which we believe was caused by bombs being dropped. Additionally, a jet fighter circled the Gok Twin area for about an hour.”

Resistance groups have also targeted the 40-vehicle convoy, including two tanks, between Aum Thee and Yay Maung Tan in Nawngkio Township.

The convoy originated from SAC's military academy in Pyin Oo Lwin, carrying reinforcement troops and weapons to aid its beleaguered troops overwhelmed by the resistance, which has successfully seized numerous junta bases since the launch of Operation 1027, which began on October 27.

Despite the groups' success impeding the convoy's progress, SAC has been conducting air bombings day and night.
