Number of COVID-19 infections rises to 149,927

The number of COVID-19 infections rose to 149,927 with 3,269 deaths on Wednesday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry, Xinhua reported.

The release said that 680 of 5,036 samples were tested positive with two new deaths in the past 24 hours.

A total of 200 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday, bringing the number of recoveries to 134,093.
