MPT offers 30-minute free calls in food-affected areas

MPT (Myanma Posts and Telecommunications) has offered free calls up to 30 minutes to its subscribers in 18 townships in the Karen State, Mon State, and eastern Bago Region, which has recently been hit by flood, according to a press release sent by MPT to KIC News on August 3.

This service can be used within 30 days starting on August 3. No additional subscription is required and MPT will send notifications to its subscribers via SMS.

The townships which are eligible for this free calls service are Hpa-an, Hlaingbwe, Kawkareik, Myawaddy, Hpapun, and Kyainseikgyi townships in the Karen (Kayin) State, Kyaikhto, Bilin, Thaton, and Kyaikmaraw townships in the Mon State, and Nyaunglebin, Bago, Shwekyin, Kawa, Daik U, Thanatpin, Taungoo, and Kyaukgyi townships in eastern Bago Region.
