The delegation says the competition is open to everyone – whether the person is s seasoned photographer or “a happy amateur”. The winner will receive a brand-new camera.

The photo competition revolves around the theme of democracy in Myanmar. As the delegation points out, the year 2015 is a pivotal year and a potential milestone in Myanmar's transition towards democracy and therefore worth capturing.

“We encourage everyone to participate in the competition and take pictures of whatever you think best captures the moment. Up to you to compose a picture of what democracy means to you and share this experience with the world! Get creative!”according to the press release.

The competition started on October 24 and will run until the final date of November 15, 2015.
