Since October 16, the junta has been deploying large numbers of reinforcements to Kale Town in Sagaing Region’s Kale Township, according to town residents.

The junta has transported troops to Kale Airport four times using Y-8 utility aircraft and once using an ATR-72 aircraft.

“The junta has sent hundreds of troops to reinforce Kale. It’s now vowing to push from Kale to Tamu by December and retake every area along the way. Reports indicate that operations have already begun in areas to the north of Kale Town,” said a local source monitoring the junta’s movements in the area.

Tamu is a town in Sagaing Region, situated north of Kale Town , and near the Indian border.

The junta loaded the newly deployed soldiers onto 11 military trucks and sent them to areas north of Kale Town, according to locals.

Local resistance forces have been warning residents to evacuate after receiving reports that junta troops had begun advancing into areas north of Kale Town.

The junta is attempting to neutralize resistance forces throughout northwestern Sagaing Region, aiming to reclaim full control of territories along the Gangaw-Kale-Tamu Highway.
